Midwest Plastic Components Adds Additional Robots

Midwest Plastic Components (MPC) brought on-line two additional robotic cells during the month of May as part of an overall Lean Manufacturing initiative. By utilizing robots MPC has been able to improve part quality, reduce labor and gain capacity via reduced cycle time of the jobs being run in these automated cells, stated Doug Johnson, SVP of Operations.

Midwest Plastic Components Purchases New FANUC RoboDrill Mate

Midwest Plastic Components (MPC) announced the purchase of a new FANUC RoboDrill Mate. This machine was added to meet the needs of MPC's growing Medical Device OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) product requirements.
MPC is using this equipment to machine specialized features in parts molded from Invibio's® implantable-grade PEEK-OPTIMA® material.

Midwest Plastic Components purchases additional Milacron All-Electric ROBOSHOT injection molding machine

Midwest Plastic Components (MPC) announced the purchase of an additional Milacron All-Electric ROBOSHOT injection molding machine. This machine was purchased and installed in one of our class 100,000 clean rooms to meet the growth needs of our Medical Device OEM customers. The machine is dedicated to mold Invibio's® implantable-grade PEEK-OPTIMA®, which MPC has seen grow significantly within the last year.
